Where predators are more than an encounter.

Okonjima Nature Reserve lies around 270 kilometres north of Windhoek. The reserve covers more than 20,000 hectares of natural savannah and is home to the AfriCat Foundation.

This non-profit organisation focuses on the conservation of large predators in Namibia, with particular attention to cheetahs and leopards. That gives a visit to Okonjima another layer. You are not only here to see animals, but also learn more about the work behind their protection.

On guided safari drives you may come across cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, zebras and various antelope species.

Watching, tracking and understanding better.

Within Okonjima the AfriCat Foundation plays an important role in conservation and education. This is not only about the animals themselves, but also about preserving their habitat.
