The mountain zebra gave the park its name.

Mountain Zebra National Park is named afterthe mountain zebra that live here. The current page lists more than 300 in thepark.

Mountain zebra are slightly smaller thanBurchell's zebra and their stripes sit closer together.

Open fields, savannah grass, mountains andcliffs shape the landscape. A game drive here is as much about the views as itis about finding wildlife.

The horizon keeps changing on a game drive.

Alongside mountain zebra, the park is hometo cheetah, lion, hartebeest, springbok and ostrich.

You can drive through the park yourself orjoin a guided game drive from the restcamp.
