Kunene River

Where the water follows the border.

The Kunene River begins in Angola and flows on into Namibia. Here the water forms the natural border between the two countries, before the river eventually reaches the Atlantic Ocean.

Epupa Falls is one of the best-known places along the river. But the Kunene is not only about the waterfalls. The river attracts wild animals and gives you the chance to see the area from a completely different perspective.

From the water everything looks different.

A boat safari takes you onto the water, among the animals drawn to the river. Towards the end of the day you can choose a sundowner boat safari and watch the day slowly disappear from the water.

Prefer to move yourself? Canoeing and rafting are also possible. On land you can walk and spot birds along the river.
