Goo-Moremi Gorge sits at the foot of the Tswapong Hills, around 67 kilometres east of Palapye.
The protected area covers 1,836 hectares. Perennial streams have cut deep gorges into the hills, with waterfalls and pools surrounded by dense vegetation.
The site is a national heritage area and is managed as a community-based nature and cultural tourism project by the Moremi-Manonnye Conservation Trust in partnership with Botswana Tourism Organisation.

Goo-Moremi Gorge is one of the places in Botswana where walking is a central part of the visit.
Guided trails lead into the hills and gorges, past streams, rock walls and waterfalls dropping into natural pools.
The area is also a breeding site for the endangered Cape vulture. Leopard, hyena, kudu, baboon and rock hyrax are among the other animals found in the hills.
