Skilpad Restcamp lies in the northern part of Namaqua National Park. The camp is small, with 6 chalets. From the veranda, you look across the wide landscape of the park.
The chalets are self-catering and have their own toilet and shower. There is a small shop at the Skilpad Office, and the Flower Trail hike starts here as well.
Skilpad is a useful starting point for the Caracal 4x4 Trail towards the Coastal Campsites further south. During flower season, in August and September, the landscape around camp changes noticeably.
