Malolotja Nature Reserve lies on the border of Eswatini, formerly Swaziland, with South Africa. The mountain park contains the last pristine mountain wilderness of Eswatini. At 1,829 metres, Ngwenya mountain is the highest peak.
The landscape keeps changing along the way. Mountains give way to grasslands and bushveld. The Malolotja waterfall, the largest in Eswatini, also drops down inside the park.
That variety is exactly what makes Malolotja suitable for exploring on foot. A well-known walking route leads to the waterfall in around three hours. Bear in mind that there is not much vegetation everywhere. Good protection against the sun is part of your preparation here.

Anyone who wants to see Malolotja from a different perspective can take a canopy tour with local guides. Ziplines move you between the mountains and trees.
The reserve is not a classic wildlife park. Even so, you may come across animals along the way, including various antelope and zebras. Here it is mainly about the landscape, the space and the freedom to head out yourself.
