iMfolozi Mpila Camp
Mpila Camp is found in the southern part of the Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park. This park is a merger of the Hluhluwe and uMfolozi wild reserves and covers about 93,000 hectares. The Mpila Camp is the second largest camp in Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park. The camp offers independent accommodations and has no restaurant. There is a camping shop, but limited food and drink is available here. If you want to do more extensive cooking, it is important to purchase what you need for this in advance. The Mpila Camp is not fenced so there are wild animals on the park. An unique experience!
Since the camp is situated on a hill, it offers a panoramic view of the bushfield of the Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park. From the camp, you can easily explore the iMfolozi part of the wild reserve. You can also find the popular Sontuli loop on the uMfolozi River here.
The safari tents of Mpila Camp are all independent and equipped with bedding, towels, cutlery, tableware and kitchenware. You can refuel during the day. However, the offer can be unreliable, so take this into account.
We offer various self drive 4×4 trips through South Africa, visiting the iMfolozi Mpila Camp.
