Shorobe Baskets & Crafthood
Travel for Impact offers trade assistance to hundreds of (mostly female) basket makers in southern Africa. There are several craft centers in Botswana where baskets are made. Thanks to your support, the baskets of these Botswana women can be sold and sent to many different countries so that they have a source of income.
As a company in the travel industry, we are aware that a lot of money spent in Botswana does not always reach the people who need it most. Selfdrive4x4.com is happy to bring this project to the attention of our travelers. During your Botswana trip you can easily drive past a craft center and pick out a nice basket. It is also possible to contribute directly by means of a donation.
