Mount Brandberg Nature Reserve
In the Mount Brandberg Nature Reserve, you can find a rough mountain landscape. Mount Brandberg owes its name to the red glow that appears over its peak at sunset. The highest peak of all Namibia is the Königstein, and it is very popular among hikers and rock climbers. Besides the impressive nature, you can also find the black rhino and the desert elephant in this area.
The area was very important to the San people. Thousands of rock paintings can be found here. The White Lady rock painting is the one that is best known. In the nearby village of Uis, you can book various guided tours and hikes along these paintings.
