Damaraland
Damaraland is an area between Swakopmund and Etosha National Park. It is an impressive, desert-like region, with rugged rocks and mountains. This vast area is home to the ‘Damara’ people, to which it owes its name.
The best known places in this area are the Twyfelfontein, Organ Pipes, Spitzkoppe, Ugab Rhino Camp and the Vingerklip rock. But even just driving through this vast area is an experience in itself. The continuously changing rocks, grasslands and plains create a special route.
Various self drive 4×4 trips pass through Damaraland in Namibia.
