Baviaanskloof

Baviaanskloof, located in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, is one of the country’s most rugged, pristine, and spectacular nature reserves. Its name literally means “Valley of the Baboon” in Dutch, and the area is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and a reserve managed by Cape Nature.

It is a remote area. There are no petrol stations or other facilities on the route between Willowmore and Patensie.
