Xakanaxa Campsite
The Xakanaxa Campsite is a great place to stay. Situated in The Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana. The campsite area consists of eight camping pitches that strechtes to the Mopane Tongue. Like the other campsites in Moremi Game Reserve the Xakanaxa Campsites offers basic facilities. There are water taps, sanitary facilities, shaded campsites and a braai. Most of the sites are under a tree offering some shade and they share ablution facilities. Solar panels are used for hot water and lights.
All the camps in the Moremi Game Reserve are unfenced. We recommend to use a torch when walking to the ablutions in the dark. Xakanaxa offers you the real African adventure during your self drive 4×4 trip through Botswana (and Namibia).
Xakanaxa has 3 elephant bulls that come through the camp regularly both during the day and night to browse on the acacia and Marula trees – stay calm and stay out of their way (don’t run!), they are very used to humans and will ignore you as long as you don’t bother them.

Not far from Xakanaxa campsite you will find the Third Bridge campsite. And close to North Gate you will find the Khwai campsite. All three camps are situated inside the Moremi Game Reserve.
